Community: Our Vision

One of the values Baran Group has adopted is involvement in and commitment to the community and to social change in the Israeli society.
Since the foundation of Baran Group, we have been involved in various community activities. A strategic process in the area of social responsibility which the company underwent recently, has resulted in a community outreach program which involves the active participation and volunteering of Baran personnel. We believe it is our responsibility to use our skills and resources to help improve the quality of life in the communities in which our employees live and work. We encourage our employees to give something back to their communities.

Community Major Projects

  • EPC

    EPC
    Engineering, Procurement Construction

    Baran Group is chiefly an EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) company, and therefore concentrates its volunteering activities on providing solutions and services in these areas of expertise to the community.
    In addition, our employees volunteer in a wide range of fields to support and strengthen the community, giving each and every one of them the opportunity to contribute in their field of expertise.

    Project through the Israeli education system and society

    Baran employees volunteer in different schools, especially in underprivileged areas, where they expose children to different contents such as the environment and the verity of professions within the company. The purpose of the project is to advance social change in the Israeli education system and society and achieve greater equality.

    Employees’ children get a chance to volunteer in non-profit organizations

    During the summer vacation, Baran organizes various activities for the company employees’ children in which they get a chance to volunteer in non-profit organizations. The children are also involved in several of Baran's outreach community programs.

    Baran “adopted” an IDF combat unit

    Baran “adopted” an IDF combat unit, by taking part in the unit’s social activities and donating money for events such as holiday celebrations, sports days, etc.
    A project for social involvement and assistance to the warriors. This collaboration comes in the form of money donation and other events with the battalion like celebrating the holydays together, shared sports days and other activities We believe it is our responsibility to support the soldiers in every possible way, to respond and answer to their needs.

    Supporting youth at risk

    A group of employees from the process industries Northern Office volunteer regularly at the ’Levavot‘ club, an after-school home for children at risk. The employees participate in the various activities, such as helping with homework, playing with the children, going on walks with them and so forth.
  • Deseret Generation

    Deseret Generation
    Developing social environmental entrepreneurship among young people

    The Deseret Generation is a social start-up for developing social environmental entrepreneurship among young people. The program sets up "involvement core groups" of young Arabs and Jews as the leaders of social and environmental entrepreneurship and endeavor in their community. These young people serve as a role model of active citizenship and social involvement while collaborating with the communities in the surroundings.
    The shared space program, which includes seminars and meetings in a shared space setting which is steadily growing while learning, researching and developing subjects of interest concerning the community and the environment is funded by the Sheli Foundation and Baran Group.

    Supporting youth at risk

    Our South Office employees have a long term partnership with "ELEM", an NGO dedicated to helping youth at risk become productive citizens who can contribute to society. This relationship includes managing the renovation of the ELEM branch in the area, as well as tutoring the teenagers. Our most significant project with the youth is "Kesher Baran", based on one-on-one relationships between the youth and our employees who serve as their role models and accompany them in their daily life.

    During the past few years Baran employees have been involved in various activities such as Tutoring, collection of clothes and food products and celebrating the Jewish holidays with new immigrants from different parts of the world.
