Milestones

For the first decade after its establishment, between 1979 and 1988, Baran Group focused on providing engineering services to the chemical industry with revenues reaching $8 Million (US).
Between 1988 and 1995, Baran Group expanded its activities to include infrastructure, and developed an in-house technology group for developing additional market applications. During this period revenues reached $50 Million (US).

Baran Group followed a new strategic direction in 1995, aimed at penetrating the hi-tech industries, with special focus on the communications and semiconductor industries. This strategy saw Group revenues grow to $200 Million (US) by 2000. Baran Group then devoted its efforts to transforming itself, as a local Israeli group, into a multinational corporation. Global business opportunities were pursued, especially in the USA, and 2002 saw the acquisition of o2wireless Solutions Inc. Parallel to this, the Group started to advance into Europe and Asia-Pacific Regions. In 2006, the company focused on execution of international mega-projects.

The future – becoming a global company

Baran Group intends to become a recognized, global provider of turnkey engineering and technology solutions in the communications, industry, civil engineering, semiconductor and technology fields. We aim to derive most of our revenues from our global activities outside the domestic market in Israel, and to constantly improve our profitability and growth rate.
Baran’s growth strategy focuses on five key elements:

  • Leveraging our core expertise
  • Relying on our market leadership and reputation as Israel’s largest engineering firm
  • Increasing our market penetration through mergers and acquisitions
  • Creating strategic alliances with local, regional and global companies
  • Leveraging relationships with our customers

Baran Group will continue to assess the US market for potential acquisition targets and alliances in advanced technology industries such as pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, biotech and hi-tech.

We acknowledge that much of our success is due to our unique management and corporate culture, and we intend to cultivate a top-class, global management team capable of maintaining the same level of professionalism and expertise as our Israel team.
