Social responsibility is high on the agenda of Baran Group Ltd. and we see ourself committed, in policy and in practice, to making a positive contribution to society in the countries in which our businesses are conducted. Social responsibility is part of our corporate strategy and as such, is professionally headed by one of the Group founders.
In acknowledgement of our obligations to the society which we live in, Baran Group is committed to a full range of social responsibility issues, such as community economic development & community relations, environmental protection, human rights, business ethics and social accountability.
Baran Group was classified in the top-ten list in the 2008 index of MAALA - Business for Social Responsibility in Israel, Israel's first-ever ranking of companies based on corporate citizenship performance. The Maala Index is listed and traded on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange. Maala's ranking laid the ground for the introduction of Socially-Responsible Investments (SRI) in Israel.
